You'd think after defeating the elite four and embarking on enough adventures to warrant over 10 seasons of cartoon adventures and a few feature films, pikachu would be so sensationally powerful plot would be harder to continually perpetuate. ALSO! HAVE THE MORAL CONCERNS OF MAKING TWO LIVING THINGS BATTLE FOR THE PRIDE OF THEIR HUMAN OPPRESSORS EVER EVEN OCCURRED TO POKEMON TRAINERS?!  |

What I can't help but wonder is why you buy into the male-dominated Pokemon television series. Both the main human character and main Pokemon character are male. And why does Misty always get mad when Brock shows interest in other women? Because she believes that women should fight with each other over romantic involvement with men.
Also, the imagery of the Pokeball offends me on the grounds that it is a prison to my Pokemon friends, who should be roaming freely instead of performing for humans. POKEVEGAN FOR LIFE. This message board is not PC enough.

But is pikachu male? Is this pokemon gold or silver? I think not. Original series of pokemon: there were no pokemon genders, as the social construct of gender for pokemon had not been constructed yet. Therefore, not as male dominated as thought, although still heavily male-dominated.
Also, all the pokemon nurses (nurse joy) are attractive and female, and sisters? wtf.

You think correctly. The way you can tell is because on one I wrote, "This board is DEFINITELY not PC enough." I could make it a signature, but when I write it each time I'm reminded that:
This board is not PC enough.
